Certificate II in EAL (Access)

Overview

The Certificate II in EAL (Access) provides pre-intermediate level English speaking and listening, reading, writing, literacy skills and study skills in English prior to accessing a range of further study pathways. This course assists to meet language needs of learners wanting to develop their language skills through emails and the internet. In addition, students will have the opportunity to explore local community services and learn about the Australian environment. Students who undertake this course may be seeking to pursue further education in Australia at UIA or another institution.

Entry Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Satisfactory completion of UIA’s approved placement test to determine the participants English language skills so that the participant can be placed into the appropriate proficiency level class
